I assume Forefront – Threat Management Gateway – SP2 – Update Rollup 1 is required before installing this Hotfix Rollup?

No. You should be able to install hotfix rollup 2 directly on Forefront TMG 2010 SP2.

I’m not a SQL administrator at all, so I apologize I can’t really help you here. If anyone else has suggestions, please let us know! 🙂

is rollup 1 included in rollup 2? Because the fix we need is not listed for RU2.

Yes, it is. Hotfix rollups are always cumulative, so installing hotfix rollup 2 will include any and all hotfixes that were released in hotfix rollup 1.

I have a problem with VPN connections after installing roll up 1.
    Hope rollup 2 fixes it.

Let’s hope so, but if it doesn’t let me know and I’ll see if I can help. 🙂

Hoftfix rollup 2 says it does not replace any previous hotfixes.

Also the KB for each hotfix rollup lists the file information. There are files in update rollup 1 that do not occur in hotfix rollup 2.

    Hi Roger,

Hotfix rollups are indeed cumulative. The KB only lists the hotfixes that are new with the rollup. It is not a comprehensive list of all hotfixes included in the rollup. You can verify this for yourself by installing hotfix rollup 2 on Forefront TMG 2010 SP2, then check the version information for files not listed on the rollup. For example, dailysum.exe is listed on hotfix rollup 1 but not on the KB for hotfix rollup 2. However, the file version information indicates that it has been updated to version 7.0.9153.540 and has the same date and time stamp as other hotfixes included in rollup 2.
