TechDays San Francisco 2013

It’s that time again. TechDays San Francisco 2013 is fast approaching! The event will be held on May 2-3, 2013. Presenting Forefront TMG and UAG 2010 at TechEd 2012

I’m excited to announce that I will be presenting a session at both TechEd North America and TechEd Europe this year! The session I will be delivering is entitled Demystifying Forefront Edge Security Technologies: TMG and UAG. During this level 200 session I’ll provide an overview of both Forefront TMG 2010 and UAG, describing their high level function and operation. I will also outline common deployment scenarios for each product and highlight the similarities and differences between the two. The session will also include demonstrations of Forefront TMG 2010’s advanced web protection capabilities, Forefront UAG 2010’s application publishing features, and an introduction and demonstration of Forefront UAG and DirectAccess. TechEd North America takes place in Orlando, Florida on June 11-14, 2012. TechEd Europe will be held in Amsterdam June 26-29, 2012. Looking forward to seeing you there!

TechDays San Francisco 2012, sponsored by the Pacific IT Professionals user group, is a two day IT professional conference being held on March 23 and 24, 2012. The event features a lineup of speakers that includes Chris Avis, CA Callahan, Jennelle Crothers, Jessica DeVita, Steve Evans, Jason C. Deploying IPv6 and Forefront UAG 2010 DirectAccess Technical Deep Dive

On Tuesday, September 20 2011, join me and Ed Horley at the Pacific IT Professionals Los Angeles event where we will be presenting a Technical Deep Dive on IPv6 and DirectAccess. During the first session, Ed will discuss in detail how to deploy IPv6 in a Microsoft enterprise network. During the second session I’ll dig in to Microsoft DirectAccess with Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) 2010. On Thursday, September 8 2011, I will be presenting an overview of Microsoft Forefront edge security solutions at the Southern California IT Professionals Association monthly meeting. During the session I’ll be providing an overview of Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 and Unified Access Gateway (UAG) 2010, discussing common deployment scenarios, and highlighting the similarities and differences of the two solutions.

I will also be giving away copies of the Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Administrator’s Companion and the Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG) 2010 Administrator’s Handbook. Great news…more FREE training! Recently I announced that I will be delivering a Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 training course in Bellevue, WA on October 6 and 7, 2010. Microsoft and Celestix have added another event in Portland, OR on October 13 and 14! Attendees will learn how to design and deploy the latest TMG solutions for web access, remote access, and mail protection. The course includes classroom and hands-on lab training. As an added bonus I will be giving away a free copy of the Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Administrator’s Companion to one lucky attendee at each even, signed by one of the authors, Yuri Diogenes!
